Can we learn the art of drawing without having a talent? The answer is in the affirmative if we have the desire, follow-up, and patience.

Talented painters by nature are rare, and drawing is a profession and a craft that we learn like other professions and crafts, and we can compare learning to draw with learning foreign languages or playing musical instruments. Those who did these studies remember the long hours they spent repeating some vocabulary in order to absorb it.

So the aim of this book is to prepare the reader and help him to own the desire to draw, by explaining the basic rules and techniques used, giving simplified examples, and asking the reader to repeat them in different forms.

This methodology helps us to overcome many obstacles that we considered impossible.

At the beginning of learning to draw, we need a simple kit consisting of paper, a pen, and an eraser. In the automatic stages, we will use various tools and techniques.

The pen is the most widely used tool in drawing, and it is of two types: the qasabi pen is used for thin and light lines. And the soft (greasy) pen is used for thick and dark lines, and each pen has specifications, a name, numbers, and letters.
