The glycemic index does indeed relate to the carbohydrates in food. But it isn’t so much a measure of the quantity of carbohydrates as their quality.
Specifically it is a measure of how much the carbohydrates in foods affect your blood glucose level.
Glucose is really what we are talking about when we use the term blood sugar as I did a few paragraphs ago.

Physiological, Biochemical, and Molecular Study on Patients with Thyroid Disorders / دراسة فسيولوجية وكيميائية حيوية وجزيئية على مرضى الغدة الدرقية

This study focused on 215 patients possessing thyroid dysfunction and were distributed as follow: 100 patients with hypothyroidism, 100 patients with hyperthyroidism, 15 patients with thyroid cancer, and 20 healthy persons as control. Their ages ranged between (20-70) years.
Blood samples of those subjects were collected at AL- Yarmok Teaching Hospital (Baghdad), ALKadhymia Teaching Hospital (Baghdad), St. Rafael Hospital (Baghdad), Marjan General Surgery Hospital (Babylon), AL-Zahra Hospital (Najaf), ALBasra General Hospital (Basra), AI- Ramadi General Hospital (Ramadi), ALShifaa General Hospital (Mousel), and Karkuk General Hospital (Karkuk).

The object of this work is to afford the opportunity of acquiring a rapidly practical knowledge of “regional anesthesia” and to teach the reader how to use the method successfully.
Local infiltration, as practiced by many surgeons, is a procedure whose usefulness as a substitute for general narcosis for minor operations is universally admitted, but its possibilities in major surgery are so limited that it is necessary to have recourse to another method with broader horizons.
Regional anesthesia fulfills the best conditions hitherto offered for the accomplishment of the most delicate and elaborate surgical procedure.
