Improvement of village chicken production: Strategic role of livestock in Sahelian traditional livelihood systems
The role of livestock in developing countries in general and in Sahelian regions, in particular, is already well reviewed by many authors (Ayantunde, 1998; Nianogo and Somda, 1999; Guèye, 2000; Slingerland, 2000). In Sahelian countries animal production is after crop production, the second activity of the population. The level of industrialisation is low and employment in the modern sector (public services and private business) is practically negligible (Slingerland, 2000). About 65 to 80% of the human population live in rural areas and their life is strongly linked to crop and livestock production.

Physiological, Biochemical, and Molecular Study on Patients with Thyroid Disorders / دراسة فسيولوجية وكيميائية حيوية وجزيئية على مرضى الغدة الدرقية

This study focused on 215 patients possessing thyroid dysfunction and were distributed as follow: 100 patients with hypothyroidism, 100 patients with hyperthyroidism, 15 patients with thyroid cancer, and 20 healthy persons as control. Their ages ranged between (20-70) years.
Blood samples of those subjects were collected at AL- Yarmok Teaching Hospital (Baghdad), ALKadhymia Teaching Hospital (Baghdad), St. Rafael Hospital (Baghdad), Marjan General Surgery Hospital (Babylon), AL-Zahra Hospital (Najaf), ALBasra General Hospital (Basra), AI- Ramadi General Hospital (Ramadi), ALShifaa General Hospital (Mousel), and Karkuk General Hospital (Karkuk).

The purpose of this article is to provide a general overview of the different types of methodologies, research designs, and techniques used by geography education researchers. Analyzing three geography education journals, we found 191 research articles published about geography education, of which, 55 used a
quantitative design, 65 used a qualitative design, and 71 used mixed methods.

The financial crisis of 2007-2008 that led to the global crisis, brought a sharp contraction in the growth rates of global gross domestic product and, of aggregate global financial assets. The Islamic financial services industry, however, grew at an estimated compound annual growth rate of 20% per annum during 2007–2013, partly due to its limited exposure to risky financial instruments, growth from a low base as well as inherent strengths, to reach estimated total assets of USD1.8 trillion as at year-end 2013. The Islamic banking sector, which represents approximately 80% of total Islamic financial assets, was a major driver of this growth.
